JTC was felicitated for contributing as an Exhibitor at the 9th International HSSE Conference and Exhibition held on 28th & 29th November 2017 organized by American Society Safety Engineers (ASSE), Kuwait Chapter under the patronage of the Ministry of Oil and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and Subsidiaries.

Jassim Transport & Stevedoring Co. K.S.C.C. (JTC) Kuwait announced that its Power Rental Division successfully completed the procurement of 110 new units of Cummins diesel generators, in the low to high-capacity range, from 100 KVA to 1,000 KVA. The landmark purchase of these generator sets is primarily aimed at meeting the markets demand and is part of JTC’s ongoing initiatives of maintaining a strong foothold within the power generation rental market.

The new generators feature noise attenuation and are perfect for installations where keeping noise to a minimum is required. Additionally, the generators are manufactured with the latest and highest safety standards allowing them to be utilized in oil and gas operation fields.

Commenting on the recent acquisition, Adel Kohari, Chief Executive Officer of JTC said, “We are pleased to receive the new generators which, in addition to JTC’s existing fleet, will certainly help provide reliable and continuous power to meet the continuous demand of our clients. These generators have been designed specifically for the harsh operating environment of the Middle East rental market and finished to the highest standard. They can either be provided as standalone units or be easily integrated together to form mini power stations, depending on the client’s requirements. This landmark deal that we’ve completed with our partner Cummins represents the rapid development of the market that we operate in, and we are constantly on the lookout for initiatives that meet our increasing clientele demands.”

Jassim Transport & Stevedoring (JTC) has expanded its fleet with a new nine-axle, 700-tonne lift capacity, Demag AC 700-9 all terrain crane.

The crane has a main boom length of 60 m and main boom extension length of 96 m. Its compact chassis design makes transporting and positioning quick and easy, says JTC.

JTC operates a fleet comprising more than 25 Demag and Terex cranes. The company added five smaller Demag units to its fleet earlier this year to keep up with its growing workload in Kuwait and Qatar.

“We have been pleased with the productivity and quality of our Demag cranes, which is why we chose the Demag AC 700-9 model this time around,” explained JTC ceo, Adel Kohari. “Our work continues to grow, and to keep up with demand we need reliable and versatile equipment, which Demag equipment offers us.”


JTC’s Equipment Rental Division recently completed a successful lift using its TEREX DEMAG CC2200 Crawler Crane for the lifting and installation of Flare Stacks weighing more than 20Tons configured to a SWSL of 84 meters Main Boom length and 48 meter luffing jib with super lift at a total radius of 26 meters and tip height of 117 meters – (Clean Fuel Project).

To meet the requirements on its logistics contracts, JTC has strengthened its Truck fleet by adding 10 new units of 2016 Mercedes 4 x 2 Truck heads to its existing fleet.

Jassim Transport & Stevedoring in Kuwait has ordered five new Demag all-terrain wheeled mobile cranes.

JTC will add four AC 100-4Ls and an AC 250-6 to expand its fleet with the latest order. The company has four operating divisions in port management, contract logistics, equipment leasing and power rental services. It operates in Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia.

Adel Kohari, JTC chief executive officer, said the new cranes will help them do a better job of providing tailor-made services and solutions for their customers. “The Demag AC 100-4L crane is extremely versatile, which means we can accomplish more lifts in less time than with similar sized units,” he explained.

Kohari continued, “This new purchase is a part of the several initiatives in support of the various infrastructure development projects that JTC is currently executing within the oil & gas and construction industry. Also, Terex Cranes has an outstanding reputation for building quality and reliable cranes, and for providing fast aftermarket support. And, we are excited to see them bring back the Demag brand.”

The five latest cranes will add to a fleet of Terex and Demag cranes that includes around 20 models.

Jassim Transport & Stevedoring Co. K.S.C.C. (JTC) organized a Ramadan Ghabga dinner on Monday, 12th June 2017 at Dar Hamad, Kuwait City.

The annual Ghabga dinner event, a regular feature on JTC’s calendar, celebrates Ramadan traditions, strengthens relations between employees and brings to life the spirit of the Holy Month.

In addition, attending employees took part in a spot Raffle Draw and attractive prizes were given away to the lucky winners.

In April 2017, JTC bid farewell to two of its senior most colleagues who retired after serving JTC for over 2 decades. Mr. Saleh Mohammed Saleh Hasan (fondly known as Abu Raed) worked with us for over 30 years and Mr. Ali Mohammed Ahmed worked with us for over 20 years.

On behalf of entire JTC family we sincerely thank you both for your service and your invaluable support and commitment which you have shown over the years. You played an important role in the growth of JTC over the years by performing your roles diligently. All the best to you and your families. Enjoy a very well-deserved retirement.
